OK, so you might have thought that I've dropped off the face of the earth, but know that I'm still here, and I am back from traveling for a while. The tutorial I was going to post this morning sadly I was having too much fun coloring and I totally forgot to stop and scan in the steps, so I have to re-do it for the weekend, but it will be worth the wait.
Meanwhile, to celebrate that I'm back in town for a bit I want to offer a prize. Please leave a comment on this post stating:
1. How do you use copics
2. Why do you like them?
or, if you don't use Copics,
1. Why do you want to try them out? What are the things that you've heard about them that makes them sound so great?
I will randomly choose a winner on Monday at Noon. One winner will receive a free Sketch Set, a value of over $70!! (Actual set may vary from photo) Please make sure you leave a valid e-mail address for me to contact you at. Contest open only to North America.
Thanks for leaving a comment, and good luck winning!
Hello Marianne -
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. The only Copic marker I have is the Spica Clear Glitter Pen. I've been thinking about purchasing them, but the cost is just a wee bit much. I keep hearing good things about them. but nobody in my area seems to carry them, no local stamp stores, etc. So I have not had a chance to try them out. Everyone raves about them, but I hate the thought of spending all that money and then finding out I may not like them. Right now I use Prismacolor markers when I am coloring my domino pendants and I use Prismacolor pencils and watercolors when I need color in my greeting cards or mixed media art work. I've heard about the versatility of the Copic markers and it intrigues me. Thanks for your tutorials and the opportunity to win a set.
Thank you
Elaine Allen

I have seen what people can do with Copics and it AMAZES me! If I could be half that good with them I would be happy.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to try them out!
mspacmanpinky @ gmail . com
the way people use them is amazing!! I have some, and I practice, read tutorials, and practice more, and I still need alot more. But as far as I can tell, nothing blends like these do. I love how the tips work like a brush almost. And though have mostly ciaos I have found that I really love how the sketch markers feel in my hand, I wish I had purchased only those at this point....
ReplyDeletecyndeep@gmail.com
Hi! I use them to color in my stamped images- they are my favorite markers by far. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...since I only have four markers...I use the light one for shading around the image, the black one for darkening silhouette images...and the two red ones for coloring flowers. I see some of the MOST gorgeous images colored and hope to add to my mini collection! I keep waiting for more copic classes closer to home since I'm only an hour from Eugene!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any Copic but that's because I'm not sure about the product enough to spend $5-6 on it. I've heard alot of good stuff about them, from stampers how it's vibrant and bring out the color of their project. From artist, it's complete the picture they have intended in their mind. So, I've heard alot of great stuff, just haven't dived in yet. Plus, I love this site because color theory I can use all I can get.
ReplyDeleteI just took a class on Copic markers at Archivers. I am using the markers for card making but last night tried using them on a scrapbook page. It reminded me of my art days in college. They are so amazing but I need a lot of pratice. I am learning a lot from your tutorials.
ReplyDeleteLorrie Munson
I love my copics! They are by far my best craft investment. I use mine for coloring images for cards and other craft projects. I love how they blend, the range of colors available, and the ability to make my own custom colors.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I love copics! I avoided using markers in the past because I never could get the look I wanted and always felt it looked bad. There were streaks and lines, you could not longer see the stamped lines and most of all, I would pill the paper. Then I used copics for the very first time, I was in love. Granted, it did not make me an artist BUT I can fool some people. LOL! They go on so easily, I can find the stamp lines and blend like a dream. I know I need to learn more about them but I love using them to color my stamped images. Someday I will get the air gun thingy and watch out....I am slowly building a small collection of colors and enjoy experimenting with them. Thanks for the opp to win some more! And thank you too for all the wonderful sharing you do!
ReplyDeleteI am just learning about these pens. I have a few and hoping to add to my collection. They work really well.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! :)
ReplyDeleteI love what I have seen other people color with Copics! I am a card maker and I can see these markers will help me color my images in. I have a few and just now signed up to take some classes to learn how to use these wonderful markers. I can't wait!
Thanks,
Dani

Welcome back Marianne!! I love the few Copics I have and use them to color stamped images.
ReplyDeleteI don't have copics yet, but they're on my Christmas wish list. My crafting has grown in the past year to include a lot more stamping along with scrapbooking and I've been frustrated with the markers I have. From my research, these are the best of the best.

Hello Marianne,
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. I use my Copic marker almost everyday for coloring my stamped imageson cards. I love them so much that I especially buy the stamps that I can color. I wouldn't be able to color or live without them. I have 66 of them and I buy at least 4 to 5 new ones everymonth. I am so excited because I have registered for a Certification class and a coloring class which I was accepted. Thank you for your tutorials which help me alot on certain things.
Thanks

welcome back! i primarily use copics to color my stamped images. i have used them once to color in an off-white quilted pillow top that i made which didn't have enough definition when plain. i wasn't sure about switching to them at first, because i like the effect of watercolor pencils but never really learned how to control them well. i've found that i really love how well the copics blend into each other and give depth to my images. reading LOTS of copic tuts really helped.
ReplyDeleteI like Copics simply because they are so much fun to color with because of their smoothness. I, also, like being able to color buttons, brads, etc. to match my project.
ReplyDeleteI love Copics! I use them to color in stamped images, to color my gems and pearls and whatever else I can lay them on!
ReplyDeleteI love the blendability (is that even a word??) and the colors. They are just so awesome! I didn't know what the big deal was for so long but I do now! I am teaching my first class at me LSS tomorrow!! (Wish me luck, I am nervous!!!!)
....Sharon :)
Welcome back, we've missed you!
ReplyDeleteI use copics to decorate my cards, the background, the images, the embellishments, everything. I used to hate open line images because I hated to color, nothing ever looked pretty or professional when I tried to color them in, until I invested in copics. Now I only want to use open line images to decorate my cards so that I can color with my copics. I keep them next to my bed where normal people have books or magazines, I reach for my copics and color. So relaxing! So many color choices, and they blend like a dream!
I would love to expand my collection.
Thanks,
Michelle Hollings

I'm new to copics so I use them to color stamped images.
ReplyDeleteI like them because they don't 'fuzzy-up' your cardstock and they look even and consistent on the project.
I want to be a Copic magician just like you when I grow up!!!! I have been using these wonder markers for some time now and can't imagine life before them. I LOVE coloring in stamped images and my scrapbooking doodles. Even my kids are mastering the endless blending possibilities. Well worth every penny!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love my Copics! I use them to color stamped images for cards and for my layouts. I love the way that they blend and fill in without leaving streaks. I haven't used anything else since I started my collection last year. I've been following your blog faithfully since you started it and my scrapping friends all think I'm so smart! LOL! Thanks for the great tutorials and tips! Too bad we couldn't certify online... there's something to consider!
ReplyDeleteI have some Copics and enjoy using them with my stamps. I love the way the colours blend together, and how vivid the colours are, as opposed to water colours. I could never get watercolours to be quite so vivid. I also have the Spica pens and LOVE them especially with my christmas stamps to add that little bit of sparkle.
ReplyDeleteI have 227 sketch markers that I have bought since the beginning of the year. After trying my friends markers I said I would never invest that kind of money in them. Famous last words! I use mine in card making for coloring images and other embellishments. My 16 year granddaughter has 27 markers. She has had some since before they became the rage in the card making world. She uses hers for original Manga drawings and she is so talented. Last weekend I had her give me lessons on coloring caramel apple images with highlights.
ReplyDeleterainydaycora@yahoo.com
I'm very new with the copics. I bought a lot of them and trying them out. That's why I start following this blog because I want to learn how to use them to get those great results I see everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI use them to colour stamps and make cards with it.
Thanks for this great price!
I really want to try copics because of the beautiful work I've seen done with them. I have a light gray, a light blue & the blender to try to do the shadows I've seen with them, but haven't had the chance to try it yet!
ReplyDeleteI use my Copics to color my stamp art. I love them because I find it's easy to correct or cover up mistakes because of the markers' blendability!
ReplyDeleteI have not bought them yet because I am so scared that I won't be able to make as beautiful projects as the talented creators out there.I am also afraid to spend the money and never use them correctly.I dream about taking a class and owning them all.
ReplyDeleteI mostly use Copics for my stamping art, but I'm new to it and I'm reading a LOT from your blog to know more about those wonderful pens :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back! I use my Copic Markers to color in my stamped images. I love the way I can highlight and blend and it makes the image pop right of the page! I need to learn more about how to use my sketch markers with the ABS1 system only about 1/4 them actually work - I know it user error (good thing I am going to the 10/28 certification - whoo hoo). But once I figure it out I look forward to creating backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!!

Welcome back Marianne! I use my Copics to color my stamp images, CANNOT live without them now! Still have a lot to learn, but that is the fun of it.
ReplyDeletemaylee_q@yahoo.com
Glad to see you back. I've missed your tutorials. I'm in love with my copic markers. I'm card maker and scrapbooker and I use my copics for colouring images for both. I love the the colours and how well they combine together. I find these the easiest markers to shade with. You become addicted and never have enough colours.
ReplyDeleteI love the copics, I only have a few I'm slowly building my collection. I LOVE how they blend and there are so many colors and how you can shade really dark to really light. I hope to get Copic cert. this January!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the new tutorials, yours are always so helpful & insightful! I'm still learning how to shade & highlight my stamped images properly but my finished images are starting to look better. I love the colours & I love how with the blending you can bring such dimension to a flat image. I'm still learning how to do it right!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!! I love coloring with Copics - especially the brush tips. Makes it so easy to blend the colors and get realistic looking work. I always feel like a kid again when I'm coloring!!
ReplyDeletejami@sgtstamper.com
LOVE my copics! I color my stamped images with them and I think the reason I like them is that it's easy to match them up to the cardstock I am using as well as the ease of coloring with them.
ReplyDeleteI use copics to color in illustrations! Sometimes I color with the markers alone, other times I lay them over ink drawings.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are fabulous and they last longer than any other markers I've tried! I've had a few of my markers for more than six years! Other brands I have tried have dried up within a year, even the colors that I did not use regularly. I also feel like copic's refill system is much more eco-friendly than other markers.
I love coloring my stamped images. I am still very much a newbie and need to watch more tutorials and/or take a class. But I love my Copics and how nicely they work.
ReplyDeleteI don't use them nearly as much as I should, but I like to color stamped images with them. I like their ability to shade, and the ability to draw over an already colored area to enhance the color even more, without leaving streaks. Thanks for the opportunity to win more. :-)
ReplyDeleteI color my stamped images with my copics---I am pretty insecure about it, but I will say, they are pretty forgiving---I'm not Debbie Olson, but I can stay within the lines and do a little shading---I'm working on it! :)
ReplyDeletekatdave85@gmail.com
I'm hooked on the Copics. I'm using them for stamping and they make the images look so finished and professional even when done by me!! :) I'm slowly adding to my small collection. I love the tutorials! Thanks for the chance to win a set.
ReplyDeleteI have several Copics now and I love using them. I still have a lot to learn. What a great chance to add to my marker collection. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI do not own any Copics but I have tried them before. I would love to own some though so I could practice with them. I was impressed how easily they can be blended unlike the markers I am currently using. I am always so disappointed with the way my coloring looks on my cards I try to stay away from coloring large images. This is an exciting chance to win! THanks for your generosity!! Love all your tips on your blog. You do a great job.
ReplyDeleteConnie cgregoi1@maine.rr.com
My 12 year-old daughter and I are glad you are back. We tried Copic Sketch markers (the few I have) last week for the 1st time and have fallen in love with them. I have to hide them from her or I will never get to use them. Love how they blend together so well. Although we both need to learn more about using them that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back, Marianne! I just recently hopped on the Copic train and have been poking around your blog in your absence. I've gotten the hang of them and love them. With the way they blend, they make my coloring look like I know what I'm doing! I'm ready to add more to my collection!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love love love my copics. I tried them once and I was instantly hooked. I use them on my stamped images and love shading and blending. The colors are so vibrant and bold, I wouldn't go back to any other marker!!!
ReplyDeleteI love my copics especially as my collection grows and i have more options under each family!
ReplyDeleteI seriously feel like a professional when I use them!
I tried Copics out like 2 months ago and have been hooked ever since! I really enjoy the vast number of colors and how you can blend them and stuff, MUCH prettier than my Prismacolors. I use them for coloring all my stamped images, you can tell by my blog how much I like them :)
ReplyDeleteI love these markers. They make me feel like an "artist" when I color with them... and speaking of colors...the color range is fantastic and makes shading so much easier.
ReplyDeletegreat markers - i use them to color stamped images. they blend and layer so well.
ReplyDeleteI use copics for coloring in my stamped images, and I love them because of the amazing blendability!
ReplyDeleteI use them to colour in my stamped images (whippersnapper and penny black especially) for my cards. I love the blendyness. I dont have many which makes it harder, but i get by, and i do need to blender refill, but it will have to wait. lol. I just wish i could get as good as you guys (you and sherry siemens especially) lol.
ReplyDeleteI bought my first 8 markers and am still trying to get my feel for them. I would love to be able to do more with more colours. From what I have I am liking what I have though I just need more paractice...thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see some more of your tutorials...
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back! I found copics this year. Love the way they make even an amatuer look like an artist! I use them with my stamps for colouring and shading. Would love to learn more.
ReplyDeleteI love that you can blend the colors and that there are so many shades of one color. I also love the two different tips on the pen, especially the brush tip which is so nice to color with. Still have yet to try the airbrush system, but like that I have the option with the Sketch pens.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the amazing things Debbie Olson and some of the other card makers have done with them :). Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI use my copics on polymer clay and other non-porous surfaces. I can't color worth a darn but I love the effects you can get with dots and blobs and lines and diluent!
ReplyDeleteEdie
I don't have any Copics, but I have heard that you can use them to color Flower Soft. I also would like to color in stamped images and the way you can shade them makes them sound so great! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI just got hooked on Copic markers a few months ago and I'm sold. I really like the way the colors all blend. Still learning this technique. I'm a rubber stamper from way back(20 years) and I have gone through alot of different markers and ink pads. I truly believe I have found the end of buying something new. Each week I go to the local scrapbook store and buy a few more.
ReplyDeleteSandy in FL
I don't own any Copic markers yet but love the versatility that they offer e.g. airbrushing etc. Love drawing with markers but haven't quite made the leap in investment in Copic yet.
ReplyDeleteI have copics ordered and waiting not so patiently for them to come. I took a Christmas card class done with Copics at my LSS and now...I am HOOKED!! They are awesome!! I was thinking...there is no way these markers are worth this much...well, sadly...they are!! I love the blending capabilities!! It will take me awhile to get the steps down perfectly, but they seem very user friendly. I love that too!! Thanks for this chance to win. What a great set!! Hope it is me!! Hugs, Sara
ReplyDeletesarabrinker@gmail.com
I do not have any Copics :-( . I have been thinking about buying some, but haven't managed to justify the cost. I love the way they look on all the cards that i see on the various blogs that I visit. I would, of course, LOVE to win a set!! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteRonda C.
I love the smoothness and professional look Copics give. I love how well they shade.
ReplyDeleteI love using my copics on my diecuts for my scrapbook pages and cards. They bring the diecuts to life, adding more dimension to them.
ReplyDeleteI love how it all blends together, and makes it look more realistic, even for a beginner like me!
Oooooh! I have been collecting copics for the past year and just recently got up the nerve to work with them. And after much reading & studying of your blog along with Debbie Olson's and Mish Wooderson's blogs, I was quite pleased with my results! I just love how vibrant and dimensional an image becomes when colored properly with copics. I also LOVE that I can change the color of ribbons, buttons, gemstones...you name it!...with my copics to match my project. I think I'm hooked! Thanks for the opportunity to add to my collection!
ReplyDeleteCarol B

I only have a few Copics and I really like the professional effect you can achieve. I really would like to learn how to blend colors better.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back home!!!! I use them mostly on stamped images but now I am branching out into free form... still learning lots. I use them because I LOVE them - every since I tried a couple out after buying them at a local art supply store. I learn something new every time I use them and your blog is such a great source of instruction and inspiration. I am gradually building my collection but it is rapidly growing! I would love to try the spica glitter pens soon too - I'm itching to get them. Thanks for the chance to win a set!

ReplyDeleteI only discovered Copic markers earlier this year and I use them for simple purposes like basic colouring and graphic design projects.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE them because they are such amazing quality and have a fantastic range of beautiful colours. I want to own dozens (and would if they were a little bit cheaper)!
I've become addicted to my copics. I am sure that my husband is wondering if there is an intervention program for me. I've been coloring stamps and found digi stamps. I just heard someone mention that you can color your own ribbon. That's next.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy coloring in any form(which is why I love card making), and I have found copics to be one of the most rewarding ways to color. Such vibrant colors! I don't have as many colors as I would like, but am gradually acquiring a collection. Thanks for the chance to win this set, and for all the great information you share with us here! I have learned so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm another who only owns one so far - the Spica Clear Glitter pen. I've put off purchasing any due to their cost but what I've seen in blogland that's been colored using Copics looks amazing and I'd love to win a beginner set! The greatest thing I've been told about is the amazing ability to blend colors. Thanx for the blog candy opp!
ReplyDeletethis is very nice of you .... I have never tried copics - do not really have the money to invest in them - I do love all the art that everyone is creating with them .... someday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun!
Sandra
Welcome back! I missed you. I just started card-making in March 2009 and discovered Copics in May. I can't draw to save my life but I've always loved to bring images or objects to life by colouring or painting. I wasn't happy with traditional scrapbooking markers, acrylic paint dries too fast and water colour paint is too wishy-washy for me. I like to try to create as much depth in the colours as possible. Copics make this possible for me and they're so quick and easy to use! The only art instruction I've ever had has been provided by YOU! When I discovered Copics (and your blog), I went back and ready every entry...from the beginning! I often practice using your tutorials and my colouring has improved so much in just a short time. I owe you all the credit! I know how much time and effort goes into maintaining a blog so I also want to pass along a thank you...I look forward to every new entry!

I use copics on my stamped images and on my die cuts. I love the way the can be blended. I never thought I could blend colors, but with copics I can. They just blend so well.
ReplyDeleteThanks,

Welcome back and we look forward to your upcoming tutorial! As for me, Copics have made me fall in love with coloring again! I love to color my images. I am still working on improving my shading and I love that I can blend them like I could never with my old markers. I also love being able to color embellies too!
ReplyDeleteIv'e had a two month layoff of doing any artwork due to my "real" job and now I have time to jump back into my love, drawing. I don't own any Copic markers at the moment. I want to start using Copic markers because I have been using watercolors and colored pencils for years and I believe that you get a more vibrant professional look with the markers. Plus I am a collector by nature, and with so many colors to choose from it would take me years of collecting to complete a set. I would eventually like to become a professional cartoonist, and Copic markers would make my cartoons pop off the page! Please pick me!

I have heard great things about copic markers, but have not had the chance to use them. My LS stores do not carry them. I would love to try them, so thanks for the opportunity to win them!
ReplyDeletebrendactmh@yahoo.com
Love my Copics!! I use them for stamping. I love that you can get as artistic or not as you want. If you want to get all fancy you can blend and use many colours or you can just do simple one-colour colouring! Either way, the results are fabulous!! Love these markers and am hoping to add more to my slowly expanding collection. Thanks for the chance to win some. :)
ReplyDeleteI not a Copic user, but I'd love to try them out. I've seen some absolutely gorgeous coloring done with them. The blending you can accomplish with them looks seamless. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI want to try Copics because I am a terrible shader :-) And I love your tutorials!
ReplyDeleteWell I just purchased my first two boxes and I like them. I use them to color my stamped images. I can't wait to practice more and learn more about them.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good life!

For many years I have used Prisma markers and I have to live with inks daily until my wicked but best, best friend gave me ONE Copic - Manganese Blue few days ago. I am HOOKED to it. I realized Sketch came with over 300 colors. I am having a battle with decision to pick color. I have already wrote down a Christmas list!
ReplyDeleteHi, I am so glad that you are back. I have been checking everyday! I use Copics to color my stamps with and make cards. I have started my own blog just because of my new found love of Copics. I love being able to blend them and to get a realistic color of skin on them. Thanks so much for all of your info that you share on your blog....Lisa G l_gobea@yahoo.com
ReplyDelete1. How do you use copics... I use Copics on almost all of my card and layout creations. Their colour is number 1 in books; very rich and the blending ability is absolutely amazing! I love them!
ReplyDelete2. Why do you like them? I love them because they have a wide colour selection, you mix new colours if needed, they do double duty (colouring & air brushing) and they are very easy to use!
I'm so glad that you are back from traveling. I've missed your tutorials the past few weeks. I absolutedy LOVE Copic Markers, as they are so versitile. As you can color, shade, highlight, airbrush, etc. The limits are endless.
ReplyDeleteDenise
I know your schedule can get very busy! BUT know that we appreciate whatever you share, whenever you can!! :) I love love love copics! I use them for coloring my stamped images and I'm not that good with them yet, but I hope to be good like you! I like them because they don't pick up color when you blend them or dry out
ReplyDeleteI use Copics to color images and I am experimenting with the airbrush system b/c my dh2b got me the sparmax compressor. I love them for their versilatity.. I can go bold or I can shade subtle colors into the image. There really is so many options that I will never be bored!! Copics rule!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I have used Copics but it was very briefly at a make and take at a convention. I was really impressed - great colors, great blending, no streaks, and the colorless blender is the best!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Copics and can't get enough! I used them for making my paper crafts, especially coloring my digital stamps.
ReplyDeleteRecently, I started playing with my airbrush system and love that too. I can spray my background, buttons, ribbon, etc., etc.
These are wonderful and am so glad I took your class.
Love your blog!
Good to see you back! I like the Copics, although I only have a few and don't use them nearly often enough, because of the many, many colors! Thanks for the chance to win to add to my small collection!
ReplyDeleteJust starting with the copics....starring your tutorials and studying methods.....I'm totally impressed and amazed at what I see that has been done with the copics.
ReplyDeleteI just got introduced to the wonderful world of Copic coloring and have been drawn in hook, line and sinker! I had seen them used at the GASC in Arlington and decided to buy a few from my LSS. They basically sat in my marker pail until I took a class on them and now the craziness has taken off! I just recently bought 35 of them online and can't wait for them to arrive! I am an avid scrapbooker and card maker but had never really entered the "Stamped" card-making arena. Now that I see what these markers can do I have been looking for good stamps to use them with. They are super addictive and way fun to color with! I would love to own every color made! Thanks for all the tutorials and great info on you blog!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what happened to you....well I do not have Copics but tried them at CHA Florida and fell in love they improve your coloring and blending abilities. I could not justify the cost per marker until I used one guess I am hooked now...
ReplyDeleteI have no where close here where I can buy those, and they are expensive to buy just to try. I did buy an equivalent and I like them so far but I do need more color. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI've never used copics but i'm amazed by what people can do with them. It definately adds a nice touch to a card. Thanks for doing such a fantastic giveaway =) canucks _ revelation at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteI have a 36 color beginner Sketch set, and a few additional skin and pale colors that I've added. I love coloring, and I love the blending and shading that you can accomplish with these markers. I am mainly using them with images stamped with Memento on cardstock. But I used to do a lot of pen and ink illustration. I am not sure what kind of pens I should use to ink with, such that the markers would not blend with or dissolve the ink colors.
ReplyDeleteHope I win - there are so many more colors that I need!
I have all the Ciaos and I adore them. They make me feel like a skilled colourist!
ReplyDeleteI'm Copic certified and I love teaching the basics to other people so they can discover how easy it is to colour in.
I have just begun to use copic markers, after seeing all the wonderful creations, I just had to try them out. I have never liked the way the other markers worked when I would try to color in an image, especially when it comes to coloring a face and making it look natural...that was until I bought my first copic markers. I love them and want to buy more. They are worth the price!! Thank you for a chance to win a set.
ReplyDeleteThank you,

ReplyDeleteI love my COPICS! I use mine for colouring images, ribbon, bling, buttons, and making backgrounds.
I love the blending capabilities, although admitedly I am not very good at it yet. I also love the blender that is one remarkable marker!
Thanks for the op!
Keep up all that you do!

I love the way they color and blend. i use them all the time. I mostly use them for my stamped images. Susan
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, I love the markers because they have so many wonderful colors and make my images look like they were just inked up that way....I really love that I can add depth to my stamped images. They are a ton of fun, and I'm so glad I found them.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Copics, I used to water color my stamped images till hubby told me to splurge & get a set of Copics (36), didn't have to twist my arm.....lol I never would have gotten all those grays had they not been in the set but they're fabulous for shading. Most of what I've learned is from your blog, thank you, when a friend sent me the link. No streaking & such a beautiful array of colors. Did I say I LOVE my Copics.

I am fairly new to the copic world and I love what I have seen so far. I use them for coloring in stamped images...and I am waiting to get into a copic class if you come to PHX LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs
what's not to love about copics? I love to sit and color just to relax, to make cards, to change colors on embellishments.....or just to drool over the collection of pretty colors....

ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I've been following your travels on Twitter and Facebook (does that sound like a stalker or what?). I love using Copics - on cards, Dew Drops, ribbon....you name it. The color is vibrant and smooth, never streaky. I also love that they are refillable and blendable!
ReplyDeleteMarianne~
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are doing well. Your absence has enabled me to go back and read your blog from the VERY beginning. I can't tell you how much I have learned. You are the main reason for my "One A Day Copic Habit!" Since the end of July, I can happily report that I have bought 93 of these "bad boys". I use them mostly for stamp coloring. But, find myself just doodling when my mojo needs a jump start.
Thanks for all your posts.
Annie
Great to have you back Marianne! I use my Copics for coloring stamp images. I loooooovvvveeee them for the vibrant colors and for their blending abilities. I think they are the best investment for a marker. Some people think the initial cost is high but think about the advantages of being able to switch out the high quality tips if it ever wears out (which hasn't on me) and you can refill the ink! Thanks for the chance to win some more yummy goodness!
ReplyDeleteI make stamped greeting cards and Copics are my markers of choice, not only for the range of colors, but for how perfectly I can blend colors together. Anyone can color like a professional with Copic markers! Just practice a little bit and you've got it knocked! All my other marker sets are useless in comparison and are going to my grandkids. In addition, you can't beat the brush point: it doesn't squish, fray outward, or leave tiny fibers anywhere! It appears that they are virtually indestructible!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I can't even count the ways I love and use my Copics. Most of the time I color stamped images with them for cards. But I love airbrushing with them too. Wanna hear the most unusual way I've used my Copics? To fill in a spot that I accidentally splashed with bleach on my clothing!
ReplyDeleteI started collecting copics this summer and have a mixture of sketch and ciaos. I bought the ciaos because they were on sale. I prefer the sketch markers. I love how they blend and how they bring life to the images. Looking forward to your next tutorial, ms.cheryl
ReplyDeleteLove to play with my copics. I love the colors and watching it flow on the paper.
ReplyDeleteI use the markers to color my stamped images, and every thing else too, now that I own the air compressor!!
ReplyDeleteI can color any thing with them- and layering color on color with out tearing my paper apart!
Thanks~

Hi Marianne, I love my copics. I have probably about 50 now and what them all. I'm a scrapbooker and stamper and use them with both of those. I would like to learn more about shadowing and shading and am waiting on the instructor closest to me to schedule a class.
ReplyDeleteI've heard they are really great markers and I've been wanting to try them with the air gun. That would be so cool.

Welcome home Marianne! Here are my answers:
ReplyDelete1. How do you use copics? I use them to color stamped art.
2. Why do you like them? I don't just like them... I LOVE THEM! I love them because of their brightness and blendability. I also love that I'm not an expert yet because it means that I need to practice a whole lot. I can color forever with my small collection of Copic markers.
So there you have it!

I gotta say I love my Copics. I love what they can do and the quality of them. I don't know that I could live without them now
ReplyDeleteI have recently started using my Copic ciao. I don't own any sketch. I juse them to colour embellishments and I have been coloring stamped images. Not as good with them as I would like but I think I need to practice more. Thanks for a great blog with lots of valuable techniques and for this great giveaway. If I win, then I will have my first sketch markers!
ReplyDeleteThanks kc06601@yahoo.ca
I use my Copic Markers to color my rubber stamped images. I seem to use them mostly to color in House Mouse images. It makes them almost jump off of the paper. I also use them for images that aren't as detailed but need to pop.
ReplyDeleteI just love how they blend and "move" around on my paper. I also love how vibrant the colors are.
Thanks for the chance to win some Copics! JIL
Don't have any ...yet! They are difficult to locate here in Hawaii. I am anxious to try them in place of my watercolors in my artwork.

ReplyDeleteI don't have any copics yet, they don't sell them near me and no one I know has them so I can't try them out.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect you can make with them :)
I use Copics for coloring stamped images mostly. I teach classes at my local scrapbook store to get more people interested in them as they are currently my favorite way to color! I do like that I can color all my 'bling' to match my colored images. Rhinestones come out great!
ReplyDelete**eta - guess I was supposed to put my email: mommiecat@gmail.com
I love Copics because they help me to color beutiful images. Also, they are very versatile and I color rhinestones and half-pearls with my Copics.
ReplyDeleteOhhh that is very generous of you :) Thanks for this chance ;)
ReplyDeleteI love my copics and I use them to colour in stamped images. The reason I wanted them soo badly is because I loved the brighter colours on the images. You can't get that with a pencil. At least I can't do it ;)

Hi!
ReplyDeleteI got my first copics a month ago (just some greens) and I am IN LOVE with them!!!! I use them to color in my stamped images, and I love how nicely they color, how wonderfully they blend, and how professional the finished results are. Everytime I color something I proudly show my hubby how amazing it looks! They were worth every penny I spent (and that's coming from someone SUPER frugal!!!)
Thanks for the opportunity for some blog candy!

Hey Marianne, Welcome home. I love to use my Copic Markers. I bought my first one in August this year, they are so addictive, I now own over 100. They are magic, I use my Copics for colouring my stamped images for greeting cards. My stamping has never looked so great, my images almost look 3 dimensional. I also love my Copic Airbrush system, giving me the option to color ribbons, flowers buttons, just about anything. Just in case I forgot to mention, I love love love my Copics.

My new Blog
I have a few markers and am trying to teach myself how to use them. I'm a new card marker/rubber stamper and what I've seen on the internet with these markers just really intrigued me.
ReplyDeleteI was first introduced to Copis in Anchorage, Alaska when I attended a stamp class at the Stamp Attic. I was hooked from the first moment I held one in my hand! I love the way the color moves over the paper, how well they blend and that I can layer over and over again without messing up my paper! I can't get enough of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I use them for coloring stamp images and I like them because they blend so well, flow so easily and have so many colors....inifine!

Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteI use my Copics for coloring images for cards and SB pages! What I love most about them is their blending abilities. Thanks for the chance to win.
HI , welcome back, i am a self taught artist, i use copics mainly for the first layer for skin tones, it gives me a guide where i want shadows and such, i'm a bit disappointed as its more difficult to get the refills for the copics without paying a fortune for shipping and handling here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteIf you have any ideas that would be great.
thanks and art on!

Hi Marianne,
ReplyDeleteI love my Copics for the layering of color I can achieve on my stamped images. I especially enjoy blending colors on the tips of the marker, knowing that it won't contaminate either of the colors I'm using. The brush end that doesn't fray, and the juicy ink in SO many colors are also reasons why Copics are great! Thanks so much for the chance to win...and looking forward to another tutorial from you!
Thanks,
Kerin

Sadly I do not yet own any but my dream is to someday own them. I have seen the most amazing art work done with them by my friend Cheryl at Inspire Me. She raves about them all the time. What she has been able to create with them is fascinating!I would love to be able to create such beautiful art work!
ReplyDeleteI love that I can color and shade with my Copics - they are forgiving too if I go outside the area I wanted - just blend back to what I want or use my 0 to move the ink around :) I also use them for making backgrounds and for adding a spot of color to a b/w photo. They are great for just about everything I have wanted to try so far - except coloring on digital printed images on vellum! LOL You can reach me at ednkaryn @ gmail.com
ReplyDeletei like a marker because it's a good product and i use my marker for coloring a stamp. I have 112 copics and i wait an other order :) i can't stop this ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this opportunity to win a set of these great markers. I have been waiting on my birthday or Christmas to ask for some of these. I have been a stay at home mother and they are a bit pricey for me at this time. I just purchased my first Edwin (magnolia stamp) and would love to have some of these markers to make him come alive. Thank you for this opportunity and I cant wait to read over your tutorials.

Welcome back! I like these Copics because you can blend/shade and "make" your colours match to whatever you like! You can't really make a mistake.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Marianne! I use COPIC markers for coloring stamped images for cards. I love them because they color so smoothly, without leaving streaky lines. Plus I love how easy they are to blend. I still have a ways to go to really get the gist of shading. I need to practice a lot more because what I've seen yourself and other do is just amamzing. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Just started my Copic collection a couple weeks ago. Even got to take a class to learn the basics. Am very anxious to begin.
ReplyDeleteAm super excited for a chance to win a set of Copics.
Thank you so much.
I did indeed wonder what happened to you! Glad to see you. I love my copics. I have followed your videos to learn how to use them. When I find a lesson I want to remember I put notes in my journal. (I'm up to 4 now)I love the subtle shading I can achieve with them. I don't get the same effect from other markers I've tried. I love my glitter pen too.I'm going to get more of them! Thanks for all your lessons.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I forgot to leave my email! Jazzyjess49@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks
Wow! I love how coloring with copics can go on forever-no piling or clumping of the paper! I love how the colors are blendable across families. I also love how you can refill the markers, replace the tips, and use the airbrush system. Yes, they may cost a bit more, but they are worth it! You get what you pay for, and with Copics you get so much!
ReplyDeleteSO glad to see your post again dear, was wondering what happened to you. You are a busy person that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteI use the Copic Markers for I just love the way you can blend with them, I use them for my rubber stamp images and I also use the spica glitter pens. I love all copic products that is for sure and thanks so much for the chance to win a set.

ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win. Blessings!
Glad you're back in town, Marianne! I have a very small collection of copics which I am learning to use to color images for cards. So far so good!
ReplyDeleteWell, I have heard about the blending ability that they posses - so using them in art journaling and on canvas is what I would LOVE to do!
ReplyDeleteI love Copics! I use them to color my stamped or digi images for cards. Love the blending.
ReplyDeleteI love my Copics! They've made card making & scrapbooking a dream!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to blog land! I just love my Copics and although I held off for a while - I'm addicted now and can't wait to afford to get more.
ReplyDeleteI use them mostly for cards and find the easiest way is to pre-stamp all my images and then sit in front of the tv and just colour away. This has worked well too when travelling on a plane or just sitting by the pool.
I love the blendable, vibrant colours and the fact that they are odour free.
Thanks!
I love copic's for the deep clear color and how they blend, how they don't cover up the stamping. I use them all the time for just about everything, sky, clothes, flowers and anything else that I stamp.I love the Spica Glitter Pens and I have a lot of the Sketch markers. I just wish I had all of the colors and thanks for the chance to win these.
ReplyDeletemandswilliams@windstream.net
I like them because they let non artist like me color in stamps that make me appear to be a real artist. At least my friends think so. I have been slowly adding to my collection and recently discovered spicas to add some bling. Love them.
ReplyDeleteI use copics to colour in my Whiff of Joy images...and I love them b/c they're the first colouring medium that I've ever had any amount of success with!
ReplyDeleteOh my, to be able to color some projects like I have seen colored with copics! Practice is what you need, I understand that, so I keep practicing. The blending capabilities of the copics are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to possible win a set of the copics.
Jean
Several months ago I bought two Copic markers in the same color palette but with numbers too far away (not within the two shades as suggested). I only tested them once and got intimidated and discouraged. I didn't like the look. I know I need to practice to get better and if I won this set, I would have a variety of colors that will motivate me to practice. Thanks for a chance to win.

ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Thanks for the amazing opportunity. You've gotten a lot of great comments on this one. First thank you for your tutorials. I do not have Copics, but I watch the tuts so one day... I have heard, and seen some amazing techniques that you can do with the copics, such as the blending. I do start a new job on Tuesday so I'm excited that I might be able to purchase myself a couple, once things calm down of course. Again thank you so much for the amazing opportunity, these are going to be a godsend to someone just starting out.
ReplyDeleteGood luck everyone..
Wishing you abundant blessings,
Tami
I don't have many markers, I'm just trying a few out and am trying to take in as much information as I can from your fabulous tutorials. I think the Copics elevate work done in cardmaking and scrapbooking - giving more vibrancy, depth, and professionalism to the work. I love the challenge of working towards continued improvement. Thanks so much for your generous opportunity to win a set!
ReplyDeleteI only have a few Copics and feel like a beginner. I use them mostly to color in stamped images. I need a lot more practice and do feel intimidated by them. When I see others' work, all shaded, etc., that's the look I want.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I use my copics for coloring my artwork before I color them in Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteI love copics b/c of its blending capabilities and also being able to color a solid area without leaving streaks.

I use my copic markers and spica pens to color in my stamped images. I just love the way the colors blend.
ReplyDeleteTheir system makes it so much easier to mix and match colors.
The spica pens add just the right amount of sparkle to my projects. I just love them!
I just started using and collecting Copic markers about 4 months ago. I discovered them through other card makers blogs. I love them. I've been using them with stamped images mainly. Lately, I let the kids use them to make some posters for school contests...they said "Mommy, these are really cool markers!" The did make great vivid colors on the posters.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Welcome back. I have some of the copics and I love them. I've been trying to get better at my shading and it's coming along. You have helped so much with that.
ReplyDeleteJannette D.
Welcome home Marianne. I think Copic markers are the BEST in the WEST!!! Well...not just the West actually...in the WORLD :) I color everything with them. I love sharing my excitement of these markers with other stampers and scrapbookers. It's hard to color with anything else because the Copics are so fantastic
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to get a set for free! WOOHOO!!!!
Welcome back, Marianne! I use copics for their blending ability and all the wonderful colors they come in. I use them for my stamped images. Thanks for a chance to win a set. Sandy Knecht slknecht@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteOh, I love my Copic markers :0) I'm an avid stamper and I love the way they make my images come to life. I have people constantly aske me if I printed my images off of my computer. I think that's the best compliment I can recieve :0) Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteI love the copic markers that I have. I have a mixture of the Sketch markers and the Originals. I still don't know which ones I like best. They are both useful for different purposes. I like the fact that when they run out of ink I can refill them. I haven't had to do that yet though... I really would love to own more I probably have about 70-80 markers and want more....
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to try and win more.

Hello Marianne,
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog, but I love my copics that I just recently bought! I use them to color wonderful stamped images and I have also purchased the airbrush system and am completely in love with it! Ever since the first time I used the copics at the local craft store, I am impressed on how wonderfully they blend together! See I have always liked to color so now I have a new tool in which to color with...lol...I have not touched my chalks or watercolor pencils in months! Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful set! saraament@msn.com
Thanks Again,

Welcome back...surely did miss ya! I am slowly accumulating my Copics, but they are my most-prized tool in my art world! I use them for coloring my images on my cards, scrapbook pages, altering the color of items I use as embellishments, etc. I am progressing with my shadows and highlights because of your fabulous tutorials. They are definitely my most favorite go-to if I ever am in question to what to do. Thanks so much for sharing all your tips and ideas and thanks also for such a generous give away.

I just love copics. I've been using them since my certification this past june with Sherrie. I really like how they blend and look on stamped images....there's just so many color combinations, it's endless.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I use Copics for making paper craft projects. I love the variety of colors and being able to color large areas without getting lines. Thanks for the chance to play!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!! I do use Copics. I thought I'd "get a few" to start out and I was addicted!!! I immediatedly bought more and more! I love the rich vivid colors, I love the things you can do with them (shading, adding depth, creating faux texture, etc.) I also love the WIDE variety of colors! I recently had a couple of stamping friends over and we got out my copics (their first time) and one of the girls went out and bought about 50 markers! Hope you have a wonderful and "homey" weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI use my copics to color in stamped images on cards. I like them because they come in so many different colors. Thanks for the chance to win!

I just have a few copics that i just recently purchased. I love to color with them but need more practice. I am greatful for your tutorials for the added help. Thanks, Lori
ReplyDeleteI love to color! love to blend color! And what better product to do that with ... right? I think, I haven't been able to find the pens locally, but i helped convince my LSS to bring them into inventory .... they should be arriving soon .... i'm totally intrigued with the blending capabilities, and the smooth rich finished look ... wow! I can't wait to play with them ... now I just need some!!
ReplyDeleteHi Marianne,
ReplyDeleteWelcome back.
I have no Copics at this time. I dream of the wonderful results with them that I see in the work of others but alas... not yet. I do use Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and watercolor paints to color my images. Thanks for your tutorials and the possibility of winning a set.

I've never been able to afford nice markers, but I would like to try them to make custom stationary and add some color to some of the sketches that I have done with a Copic pen. I love your site, and I hope that I can show you what I have done with my markers, should I win. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love coloring my stamped images with my slowly growing collection of COPIC markers. My two oldest sons like sneaking my markers for their anime & paper "tagging"/graffiti work.
ReplyDeleteYour second question: "Why do you like them?" GEEZ! What's NOT to like should have been your question? *LOL* They're a fantastic investment - refillable, replaceable tips, they don't roll off the table (I'm partial to the Original & Sketch), dual tips, they have their own air brush system, HUNDREDS of colors to choose from...I gush about these markers to my friends so much they asked me the other day why isn't COPIC paying me for my advertising? *LOL*
Thanks for the chance to add to my collection, Marianne! You're da bomb!!!
-hugs-
When I see creations that have used Copics I am always in awe! The colors, the actual coloring, the shading...it all looks so nice. I don't use many detailed images (or I end up paper piecing them), 'cause I just can't make my regular markers work for me. I would love a chance to win some and to start on a new journey of having more 'colorful' images in my work. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love, love copic markers. I use them to color digital stamps and other images that I use to make cards with!! I love how they blend and how rich the color is. Hope I can get my fingers on this give-away!

I love the real effect I can achieve when using my copics. I use my copics on paper of course but also on glass and other non-porous home decor items.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!!!! I have close to one third of the colors and I love them but I have trouble shading with the red colors. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to really play a lot these days (work and family responsibilities). I love my Copics because of the beautiful colors and the ease of using them. With one color I can achieve different levels of depthness. Wouldn't give them up for anything.
ReplyDeleteMarianne, I love all your tutorials and I have saved a lot of them.
So glad that you are getting to be a home for a little bit. I love my Copics. I use them for card making and coloring chipboard. I have altered buttons with them and used them on my layouts. I love that they are blendable, refillable and give such great coverage. The Copics that I have are the best investment that I have made so far in my years of paper crafting. I use them everyday.
ReplyDeletexoxo, Christine
I love the markers and use them for about all coloring that I do. If I listed it all it would take for ever to put it in words. Glad you are back I just love to visit your I like markers it is so great.

Welcome back ! I LOVE my Copics and are truly addicted to them for coloring and blending on my stamped images ! I have raved about them so much I now have friends that are joining in the addiction . I love my Sketch Copics because they fit in my hand comfortably and in my airbrush too ! Love your tutorials too so will check back here for the winner of this awesome BLOG CANDY !!!
ReplyDeleteMarianne, I have finally begun my adventure into the world of Copics. And would love to add to the extremely small start that I have now. I have always enjoyed coloring (quite recently at that) and Copics seem to be a natural transition in the big person world of coloring/painting. If I don't have to go to Atlanta in 2 weeks, I will be so excited to see Sally's consumer Copic 101 workshop in Princeton, In (near Evansville, IN).
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Marianne!

I am primarily a cardmaker and use my small selection of Copics on almost all the cards I make. I love them because of the huge color selection, the ease of blending and the end results. The only drawbacks are the initial expense and the difficulty of finding them locally. I am beginning to need a few reinkers and they are also expensive.
ReplyDeleteI use them to color but my favorite use is airbrushing. You don't have to do light wispy airbrushing...the gorgeous colors allow you to layer and layer and get rich, vibrant almost screen print looks. LOVE my copics.
ReplyDelete
