Well, I have resisted for a long time, but I finally decided thad my world didn't have enough obligations, so here I am, setting up a blog. This is going to focus mostly on papercrafting, but it really is everything you ever wanted to learn about Copic Markers and techniques. Straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.
So who am I? People out in the land of papercrafting and Splitcoast talk about Marianne from Copic. That's me! I've worked for Copic Markers for about 8 years now. I started as their graphic designer and general helper, now I'm the product specialist and in charge of promotions, teaching workshops, and answering questions. I am a freelance illustrator, so you may see a few hand-drawn things pop up on this site over time.
I am generally addicted to Copic markers and I love using them.
My husband and kids know that these are "Mamma's Markers".
Please contact me if you ever have a question you're DYING to have answered. I will be more than happy to help you.
As I refine this blog, be looking for symbols- the first one is TIPS. My first tip is for cleaning your dirty Copic Markers, try Hand Sanitizer. This stuff has alcohol in it, and Copic markers are alcohol based. Depending on the brand this will also moisturize and smell nicer than rubbing alcohol.
Are you a teacher, designer, or store owner in papercrafting?
Want to get Copic Certified? We still have space in our Seattle classes June 18 or 19th. Please e-mail me at office1@copicmarker.com to get on my mailing list. I also have room for my July 15th Milwaukee WI class, as well as the July 16th Chicago class. the July 17th Chicago class is pretty much full. These classes are only $85 for a 7 hr class, and include about $50 worth of supplies as well as a handy info packet.
