This morning I was forwarded this amazing video link of Copics being used in a Volkswagen ad. Enjoy!
In case you're wondering why they didn't use blue Copics to color the images, remember, the outlines are drawn in black Copic, not multiliner, so they had to color in the areas with water-based markers.
Then, if you wan to see the making of video, here you go:
I love stuff like that, it's so neat to see how they do it, and all the work that goes into it. Thanks for sharing!! xo

ReplyDeleteSweet. I always enjoy checking out videos that implement rotoscoping techniques. It's makes it twice as cool that they also used handmade art.

I like it! It's cool. But I always find those ads misleading, until you see the behind the scenes stuff.
ReplyDeleteFor a long time, before I went to art school, I though when people drew it just came out beautiful - like the sped-up final cut. Instead, there's a lot of thought, choices, changes, and adjustments. And even then, it may not make the cut!
Real art is work, and I love that, because that means it's attainable by all who want to put in the time, practice, and patience.
