You may feel that I have really dropped off the face of the earth right now but actually I have been very busy making it even easier for everyone to get the Copic instruction they need. Now Certifications will be coming closer to your home town...
Over the last few days we at Copic hosted a special training session. Not a regular Certification, but a special training to add some very talented ladies to our team of Regional Certification instructors.
You can meet each of these people at CHA and if you are a store looking to have a special event hosted by Copic you can contact them directly in your region to arrange something. Stores attending CHA can also ask our great team for ideas and advice on how to teach their own Copic classes and build their customer's knowledge, so look for their table at CHA (And we are planning for the future, so if you thought a regular Certification was fun, just you wait). Each of our new instructors will begin teaching after Winter CHA, in addition to our current team. (For more photos like this one visit Debbie's blog, as we seemed to be too busy to take photos. Thanks Debbie for remembering!)
If you are a store interested in contacting one of the Regional Instructors please send e-mails to nancy@copicmarker.com Be sure to include where you are located and how large your classroom space is. We will forward your request to the instructor nearest you and they will personally contact you. If you are wanting to attend a class in your area also e-mail Nancy and she'll add you to the mailing list for that area.
We have switched a few people on our blog team as well, but all the names are ones you should already be familiar with.
And so, without further fanfare...
The new Copic Instructors and their regions are:
Colleen Schaan
Colleen will be covering the Southern US. She has been teaching some absolutely fabulous online Copic classes through Our Creative Classroom and has visited stores in here area. Now you can take Certification Classes from her and ask her to host something special in your store if you're in her new region, as she will soon be moving to Atlanta. Welcome Colleen!
Lori Craig
Lori will be covering the Central Midwest, US. Lori should be a familiar name to many stampers, and I think we all adore Lori just as much as she adores grits (a wink right at you Lori!). In addition to her duties at SplitcoastStampers, Lori will be occasionally teaching Certification classes around Kansas, Missouri, and nearby states, so welcome to our team!
Sharon Harnist
Sharon gets to visit stores and teach Certifications from her home state of Texas up to Lori's area, and I'm sure the two of them will be co-teaching classes as well, since they are great friends. Sharon is a name you've seen around here for a while, but she also helps Ellen Hutson, Just Rite Stampers, Inchie Arts, Lockhart Stamp Co, and Taylored Expressions to name a few! Now she's on our Blog team as well, so thank you Sharon!
Kathy Sanders
Kathy will be teaching in the Northern Midwest/Chicago area. Kathy is a name you might not be familiar with unless you're on Splitcoast and recognize her as making some fabulous cards & tutorials. She has also taught Copic classes to papercrafters at her home store in Brookfield Wisconsin, Creative Pals, for over 6 years! If you've ever seen Whipper Snapper design's colored card examples most likely it was sweet Kathy who colored it.
Then, some other names you already know on our Design Team and some are also teaching Certifications:
Sherrie Siemens- Certification Instructor, Western Canada and Pacific Northwest. Look for more classes from Sherrie not just in Canada, but also in Washington and possibly Alaska (Betty, Nancy that's just for you!). Now Sherrie is also on our Design/Blog Team.
Sally Lynn MacDonald- Certification Instructor, North Eastern US and Eastern Canada. Sally Lynn already has a full schedule for 2010 scheduled so check out her blog for dates and locations. She has also been added to our Design/Blog Team, so look for great inspiration from her as well!
Debbie Olson - Certification Instructor, Regional Floater. Debbie may occasionally fill in and teach or assist at Certifications all across the country and she'll be helping us a little more with special projects, so look for more great things from Debbie.
Marianne Walker- me. I'll be floating around like usual and covering classes more in California, Oregon, and the Southwest region. I am also proud to announce that I made the blog team (oh wait, I guess I was already on the team, sorry!)
Michelle Wooderson - She's still our steadfast blogger, out there making faboulous projects using Copic Markers like she has for the last few years. We love you Mish!!
And we want to leave Trudee with a big warm hug and thank you! Trudee hasn't been doing as much papercrafting recently, but we thank her for all her gorgeous work as a past Copic Design Team member.
Go visit the blog of each of these people to really get to know them better. We are so lucky to have them on our Team and are looking forward to 2010!

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 437 of 437I love my copics and use them on all my cards. I love the blendability, the range of colors, and the ability to make my own customs colors. Thanks for all the great tutorials!
I wish I had Copic markers because they seem so versatile and vibrant. I currently only own one (I know, sad right?) which a friend gave me and would love to win more so I could experience the magic of blending and coloring for myself!
Congrats to the new team - I know they will do great. As for using Copics - I had pretty much trying to color in stamped images because the markers I had used for years were just too hard to use, too hard to blend, too hard to get a consistant coloring with. I resisted Copics because of the price but the more I saw them used by other designers, I knew I had to give them a try. I am so hooked! I feel I get a great, even coverage everytime and it is so fun to use the blending techniques.
Wow- so many entries. I've just started paper crafting and 'copics' look really nice. I'd love to try them. Please include me in your drawing.
I am so very new to Copics but just love them! I have about 2 dozen, mostly Ciao with a few Sketch markers. I was hestitant to try them due to the cost but did a lot of research to learn about blending techiniques and which colors blend well. I very pleased with the Copics!! Thanks for including me in your drawing!!
I'd love to try copic markers. Everyone's work using them is just gorgeous. What a great prize to win and get to try them! I love to color and would enjoy using these if I win them. Thanks for the chance to win.
Nancy :)
I love to stamp and color but I have no Copic markers yet. However i have signed up for an upcoming certification and cannot wait to get started.
I’ll start by admitting my love for everything Copic! I had started hearing about Copics, but they weren’t as popular on all the blogs, stores, etc. as they are today. I purchased my first set and was thrilled – it looked like I could actually color! I was amazed because I wasn’t the type of crafter looking for images to color. My first image had me hooked and I was so excited I…no, I didn’t run out and purchase stamps to color, I purchased more copics. Then I “needed” the ABS and the Spica markers and the multiliners. I made charts of what I had and I made wish lists of all the colors I still wanted. I played with the couple of images I had to color and was happy. Then, through blogs like Michelle’s and Debbie’s and Ellen’s I knew I had to have more images to color. So, I stocked up on those and soon realized I needed more colors of my Copics to achieve the look (or at least have a fighting chance to achieve the look) of my favorite bloggers. So, here I am with a Copic wish list as long as when I started because the more you use these amazing markers the more you want…need…covet! So, I would have to say my favorite is the Copic Sketch marker because, while I love the accessories and all the neat techniques that one can try with the ABS, the reinkers, etc., my true love is the amazing Copic marker!
how can I put into this little space why I LOVE my Copics!!
Awesome blending, Awesome colors, So easy to use!! I reach for them 99% of the time!
Wow!! There are already 412 comments, so I am definately late, but just found this blog today looking at copic markers to buy. I have seen Teesha Moore use them and wanted to take a look and see what they are and cost of course. Thanx for sharing a give away. Sharon Bennett
I love the way copics look! I'm unable to afford them and really would love to win some!!!
Copics - I love the smell, the feel of a sketch marker in my hand, the variety and density of colour. I love organizing them into their colour groups and then their container - all the while wishing I had more Copics to play with. I love to see how others use Copics to colour and best of all - I've shown my Mum how to use them. Now I just have to share...
I love using Copics. I started using Ciaos then I have started collecting Sketch. I have not gone to classes. Everything I know is because of different blogs & youtube videos. I would love to take a class but there has never been anything close to where I live in Tucson. I toll painted for years and using copics are kind of the same because you shade. So I really enjoy doing it. Thanks for sharing all you talent with the rest of us
Oh I LOVE my copic's. I have tried so many different ways to color my stamped images in and they never look good at all, until I found the copic's. I love how I can blend the colors together, I am still learning but there is nothing else I would color my images in with.
I've been having fun with some Copic Sketch markers for a couple of months now. I use them to colour outline stamp images and although I feel there's lots to learn, I'm still able to come out with a great result! Thanks for this chance!!
I do not own any Copic markers, I just found out about them couple months ago when I was getting into the blog hopping and wondered how so many crafters cards could look so good colored and found out Copic was the reason. I would love to have some as I started a blog late Sept and would love my cards to look as good as others when colored. I can only imagine how they look in real vs. computer viewing colors and computer viewing colors are awesome. Thanks for the chance. bjcraftdiva@centurytel.net
I only have six markers and am slowly buying them. Right now, I am reading all of the ways to use them.
I love my copics now that I have them. I have the sketch and the color selection and the way they blend. But I have lots more on my wish list.
Lisa
What a great giveaway! So fun! I use my Copics with other markers and pencils out on the market. Since Copics have light colors, I use them as the base for all my coloring, then I layer on anything else I have in my inventory. I would LOVE for Copics to release all the colors of Sketch in Caio version. I actually like the feel of the round tube more than I do the squarish tube. And I rather spend a little less money with Caio so I can buy more colors.
A homeschooling mom and avid papercrafter, I often find my time and funds are limited when it comes to trying new products. I have every desire to try Copics, but haven't had the finances to do so yet. Would love this chance to give them a shot!
Just getting into copic markers and would love to win a set. Love all the neat things you can do with them and I especially like the way cards look after using them.
Congrats to everyone!
After becoming addicted to stampers' (mostly) blogs, I noticed how many bloggers mentioned their fabulous Copic markers. I was intrigued & started reading everything I could about them. I think I've purchased about every marker known to man, over the years, not ever being truly satisfied with the results. I've always been creative, love to color & (now) have a huge collection of stamps. Finally, I took the plunge & found that Copic markers were the answer! So versatile! To date, I have collected 154 Sketch markers, all the Atyou Spica pens, all the Multiliner SP BS pens, a black Copic Ink Pro Wallet Liner Kit Marker Set, one of the airbrush starter sets & the Papercrafting DVD. I couldn't praise Copic highly enough - I love it all!
I have been admiring peoples Copics work for a long time now .... I currently don't have any - but they are on my wish list, for when times are better!

I love my COPICS because they are brtilliant even when I am not. They so easy to use, with your wonderful tutorials I hsve been able to achieve artist quality pictures every time. My friends now come to me and ask me to help them with their colouring! I laugh, and then relish in the compliment; how funny is that? LOL
Thanks for the great product and wonderful tutorials and inspiration that the entire COPIC team provides!

I love my Sketch markers! I'm still perfecting my blends so I look forward to trying the shadow tip you gave. I use my Copics mainly for coloring stamped images; very relaxing! Thanks for the great tips & techniques, too!
This year, my husband threw me a surprise birthday party at a local craft store. My girl friends and I used Copic Markers for the first time that day as we crafted gorgeous cards, and I have not stopped using Copic markers ever since. Now on a weekly basis, my husband brings me home Copic markers as a surprise! Each new color adds more dimension and life to my crafting passion. Unquestionably, Copic markers have strengthened my love for the arts and my marriage.
Congratulations to all the new copic instructors!
I have been learning how to use my sketch copics everyday. I can hardly remember that for most of my life I would select one color to color in an apple. Now I select at least three to shade and I can't imagine going back to just one color. Thanks so much for all the tips and tricks!
I have the sketch copics and do use them for coloring. As someone who loved working with colored pencils, I wasn't sure at first if I would get the same blending effects with copics...now after a class or two I see the light so to say. What is also great is that I can layer my colored pencils on top of the copics.
I love coloring with my sketch markers and then adding a little glitz with my spicas. I am mostly self taught, although I have picked up tips from your blog and others. BTW thanks for the tip to presoak the paper with the blender pen to get a lighter shade. I'll use that soon
the fact that I can blend and blend without getting paper fuzzies is what sold me in the beginning. Now I can't imagine coloring without them!!
I love my Copic Markers! I'm a Certified Instructor by Sally Lynn and have been practicing and teach ever since. My favorite thing is that Copics are so versatile- you can use them on anything! I'm always experimenting!! Thanks for the opportunity to add to my collection!
My name is Sophia and I'm 14 years old. I started using copics a couple years ago when my favourite art started to stock them, and I bought my first two colours: E00 and E27. Before, I was just using sharpies and other random markers to colour my work, and my none of them had any nice skin colours! Of course, I loved the brush tip so much, (it was brilliant for doing hair!) I spent most of my pocket money buying a couple more colours! Then, for my birthday my grandparents bought me a 24 ciao set. It was love at first sight.
Now, I have a lot more now (around 55), and I have filled quite a few of my 5x7 copic sketchbooks up with my drawings! I wasn't that good with them when I started, I always ended up with icky bleeds and colours that went outside the lines. But I read many tutorials online, and eventually created my own style! Rather than going for light to dark for example, I colour in my base colour, then go dark to light. I've never seen anybody else do it this way, and that's whats so great about copics! You can use them in so many ways, and it always turns out fantastiv.
I love the versatility of copic markers. I have used them on school projects, cards, and colouring vinyl figures! I want to thank you for giving me the chance to use them, and all your other amazing products. I currently use your paper, inking pens, and set B of spica's (I use them on a whole bunch of assignments, as well as the finishing touch on a characters eyes!) Thank you for giving me the chance to use such amazing products.
I just recently started using the copics. Before them, I really started to leave the stamping world, because I found coloring with other markers to look too much like a child coloring, and coloring with pencils took too long. Copic markers have allowed me to quickly and easily color the great stamp images, and now I love stamping and coloring more than ever!
I love the colors and the blending and the best thing is they do not roll off your desk. Thanks for the chance to win
I enjoy my copic markers and took a beginning class in Fort Worth, but I know there is so much more to learn. This is a great give away. Whoever wins is a lucky person...
i LOVE COPICS!! copics are easy way to make colorful cards! And i really love to draw mangas so i use them alot! i love the brush tip of the copic and since i use copic sketch, i could read the colors just by looking at the side that stick out of my copic cubbie! they are far more easier to blend then other companies and the ink and the nibs are replacable,i want to get the E000 but the websites i go to always run out..but i really love copics!
THANK YOU GUYS FOR GIVING A CHANCE OF GETTING THE COPICS MARKER! THANK YOU ;D
