New Regional Instructors & Blog Team 2010

Note: Commenting on this post is now closed. Thank you for your comments!

You may feel that I have really dropped off the face of the earth right now but actually I have been very busy making it even easier for everyone to get the Copic instruction they need. Now Certifications will be coming closer to your home town...

Over the last few days we at Copic hosted a special training session. Not a regular Certification, but a special training to add some very talented ladies to our team of Regional Certification instructors.

You can meet each of these people at CHA and if you are a store looking to have a special event hosted by Copic you can contact them directly in your region to arrange something. Stores attending CHA can also ask our great team for ideas and advice on how to teach their own Copic classes and build their customer's knowledge, so look for their table at CHA (And we are planning for the future, so if you thought a regular Certification was fun, just you wait). Each of our new instructors will begin teaching after Winter CHA, in addition to our current team. (For more photos like this one visit Debbie's blog, as we seemed to be too busy to take photos. Thanks Debbie for remembering!)

If you are a store interested in contacting one of the Regional Instructors please send e-mails to nancy@copicmarker.com Be sure to include where you are located and how large your classroom space is. We will forward your request to the instructor nearest you and they will personally contact you. If you are wanting to attend a class in your area also e-mail Nancy and she'll add you to the mailing list for that area.

We have switched a few people on our blog team as well, but all the names are ones you should already be familiar with.

And so, without further fanfare...

The new Copic Instructors and their regions are:

Colleen Schaan
Colleen will be covering the Southern US. She has been teaching some absolutely fabulous online Copic classes through Our Creative Classroom and has visited stores in here area. Now you can take Certification Classes from her and ask her to host something special in your store if you're in her new region, as she will soon be moving to Atlanta. Welcome Colleen!

Lori Craig
Lori will be covering the Central Midwest, US. Lori should be a familiar name to many stampers, and I think we all adore Lori just as much as she adores grits (a wink right at you Lori!). In addition to her duties at SplitcoastStampers, Lori will be occasionally teaching Certification classes around Kansas, Missouri, and nearby states, so welcome to our team!

Sharon Harnist
Sharon gets to visit stores and teach Certifications from her home state of Texas up to Lori's area, and I'm sure the two of them will be co-teaching classes as well, since they are great friends. Sharon is a name you've seen around here for a while, but she also helps Ellen Hutson, Just Rite Stampers, Inchie Arts, Lockhart Stamp Co, and Taylored Expressions to name a few! Now she's on our Blog team as well, so thank you Sharon!

Kathy Sanders
Kathy will be teaching in the Northern Midwest/Chicago area. Kathy is a name you might not be familiar with unless you're on Splitcoast and recognize her as making some fabulous cards & tutorials. She has also taught Copic classes to papercrafters at her home store in Brookfield Wisconsin, Creative Pals, for over 6 years! If you've ever seen Whipper Snapper design's colored card examples most likely it was sweet Kathy who colored it.

Then, some other names you already know on our Design Team and some are also teaching Certifications:

Sherrie Siemens- Certification Instructor, Western Canada and Pacific Northwest. Look for more classes from Sherrie not just in Canada, but also in Washington and possibly Alaska (Betty, Nancy that's just for you!). Now Sherrie is also on our Design/Blog Team.

Sally Lynn MacDonald- Certification Instructor, North Eastern US and Eastern Canada. Sally Lynn already has a full schedule for 2010 scheduled so check out her blog for dates and locations. She has also been added to our Design/Blog Team, so look for great inspiration from her as well!

Debbie Olson - Certification Instructor, Regional Floater. Debbie may occasionally fill in and teach or assist at Certifications all across the country and she'll be helping us a little more with special projects, so look for more great things from Debbie.

Marianne Walker- me. I'll be floating around like usual and covering classes more in California, Oregon, and the Southwest region. I am also proud to announce that I made the blog team (oh wait, I guess I was already on the team, sorry!)

Michelle Wooderson - She's still our steadfast blogger, out there making faboulous projects using Copic Markers like she has for the last few years. We love you Mish!!

And we want to leave Trudee with a big warm hug and thank you! Trudee hasn't been doing as much papercrafting recently, but we thank her for all her gorgeous work as a past Copic Design Team member.

Go visit the blog of each of these people to really get to know them better. We are so lucky to have them on our Team and are looking forward to 2010!

I love my copic markers! I have both sketch and ciao makers and the Spica glitter pens and I use these to make cards. I have tried so many different coloring mediums and although I have a long way to go to become proficient in it, these markers have proven to be the best choice for me. It is fun to work with and even at the beginner stage that I’m in, this is the first time I am happy with my coloring and feel confident that with more and more practice, I can be even better (whereas with the other mediums I would give up using them very quickly and not even feel motivated enough to continue using). My wish list is very short now—my list from 1 to 10 starts with 1st choice: copics and ends there!

I have learned so much from you--your tutorials are so informative and educational!

I don't own any Copics, but I'm currently researching the best source for purchasing them and which colors are most useful. I have tried to convince myself that I don't need them for many months now, but I've come to the realization that I do. Try as I might to get the same effect with my colored pencils and other markers, I'm afraid to say it's impossible. I frequent many blogs and card galleries, and anytime I'm in love with the coloring on the project, it's always done with Copics. Seamless blending, beautiful shading, realistic contouring, and print-like quality are all achievable with these markers (and lots of practice!)

I use Copics for cardmaking. I enjoy them because they make my work look truely artistic & I've never had an art lesson! It's all in the blending! Plus, they glide like butter!!

Congrats to the new Instructors and Blog Team! I love my Copic Sketch markers for lots of reasons...but first and foremost all the wonderful colors. I've found that I can just about match any project I'm working on. I've used them on stamped images, crystal jewels to change the color and I've also used them on threads to match beads that I needed for an apron project. Would love to have more markers...but for today I will be thankful more those that I do have. Thanks for a great tool for so many projects. Nancy in So Cal.

This is a fabulous line up of designers!

I am starting to use COPICS after my LSS (CraftFancy/IL) offered classes - just love how vibrant the colors are.

I've only known about copic markers for the last 6 months and I use them for making cards mostly, but I did let the kids use them for a poster contest;) They won by the way!

I have been wanting some Copic markers for awhile now, but have not been able to yet. Thanks for the chance!

I love my Copics and my airbrush system. I use them for making cards and sharing on my blog. They are addicting and I am so glad I found them. Using Copics has made me a better crafter. Thanks for all of your inspiration and tutorials.

I don't own any Copic's but would love to get in on the fun. As a 30 something I am known to pull out a coloring book and crayons just for my own coloring pleasure.

I have yet to find and buy some copic markers! To me the colors look so vibrant! I won't say what brand I use, but they don't make me very happy because of the duller colors that make my finshed product drab! I would love the opportunity to play with copics too! Thank you!

What better way to color than to Copic Color. I only wish I had found them earlier. I purchased my first ones earlier this year. Then I took my certification class with you in April. It was awesome. Thank you. I use mine to hand color and airbrush. I am slowly learning by trial and error. I enjoy experimenting with them. I use them on paper to aluminum cans. It is exciting to see the different ways they can be used. I hope to get good enough to teach locally so others can benefit from such a great product. Thank you for all you have done for me.

Wow! I have to let you know that your wonderful posts on Copics are perfect for this newbie. I have been reading your blog from the beginning and have learned so much. Thank you.

I just got my first Copics a few weeks ago and have a lot of practice to do!

I have learned so much from your blog that when I first picked up a few copics recently I was able to get nice results! I can't wait to get some more colors!

Copics have fascinated me from afar for a couple for years now. I live in Australia and could never source a local supplier, let alone a certified demonstrator, so I have learned the little I know of the art from closely examining people's beautiful work on blogs and websites. I was so excited recently to find a Copic source in Australia and finally have some lovely markers of my own.

The addiction has started!

Thank you for the chance to win some more lovely markers :)

Thank you so much for this opportunity.

I love, love, love my Copics! I would love to buy them all but add to my collection whenever I can eek it in. I color every single day! At first, I was unhappy with the few I was able to buy, but the learning curve with these markers is incredible. It is also helpful that so many artists out there are willing to share their color combos and blending techniques. I'm excited for the new teaching team and hopeful that one will come to my area that I will be able to attend! I would love to learn hands on from the pros!

I have a stressful job.Making cards is my 'down time'. Relaxing and being able to express myself creatively is so important to maintaining balance in my life. Discovering Copics added so much more fun & joy to the artistic part of my life that sometimes I can't wait to sit down and just immerse myself in new ideas and images. You know the saying "Calgon take me away" - well for me it's "Copics take me away!"

I love the versatility of the copics, and you don't need a lot of them to have a wide variety of colors. Just a few basic colors in deep and light shades to blend and you have practically any color and shade you might need. Of course, the colorless blender is an absolute must :)

Jean said...

I love the few copic markers that I have. They are so easy to use and with the tricks and tips that are posted makes it easier than ever to use them. I can't wait until I am able to take a certification class. I can't believe all the colors. They are just amazing! Thanks for the chance to win.

WOW!! What a great team of bloggers and instructors. Copic will be really well represented.

I don't yet have any copics because I am having trouble justifying the cost, and I know that once I buy one or two, it will never be enough and I will end up spending hundreds of dollars on markers that I can't afford right now.des

I forgot to add to my comment: I have started with a few Sketch markers, and have so far made a few sample images for my small artist's portfolio so I can refer to them later. I also drew an image for a blog post and used Copics to create it. I was so pleased with the results and can't wait to do more!

The great blending and shading abilities of the copics make them the most reached for tool in my scrapbook room. I read your blog like I'm enrolled in a class and have learned so much! My scrapping and card making friends are always asking my opinion on colors to buy and how to's. P.S. I've always liked coloring, and now I get to do it in a very "grown-up" way!

My Copic Story.
I was doing some DT work for a stamp company {I will not mention} and the company had promised to reimburse me for the purchase of some Copic markers. The day I submitted the purchase information the owner started to be very rude.
So I decided to reigned. I only asked for the reimbursement and forgot about the stamps that the were to send. I never posted on my blog or contacted the other DTs to say what happened. I just slipped away.
Well the truth was I could not afford the Copics and got no reimbursement. So I tried to sell them on-line since I had only used them 2 time for the DT. I thought I live near an art school and a Animation college thought it should sell fast. Well, it never did, in 2 months i got 1 inquiry.
I started to use them again. And the images looked so great! Now I am IN LOVE with COPIC but I still can't afford to buy any more... I would totally appreciate the gift if I was chosen.~thanks

You have such a wealth of knowledge and are willing to share you love of coloring and art and techniques with us all! Thanks so much!

Hey Marianne - first off, I want to thank you for giving us such great tutorials on coloring techniques and hope that I can start using them more often in the coming months - I am relatively new to copics and to be honest, they intimidate me. I see so many beautiful creations using them and when I try, it just doesn't look that good; however, I am signed up to take a class next weekend and can't wait to get started.

Thanks

I totally hope I can make it to a Certification class sometime, I would love that!

I use the copic ciao markers, because I am a beginner, but I love how smoothly they go on the paper, how easily they blend, and how awesome and vibrant my finished projects look! Copics are AMAZING!!!

Megz Mom said...

Once you start using Copic Markers there just is no going back to the old water based markers. They each have a place, but the vibrancy of the colors and the blending capabilities make Copics a must if you want to take your creations up to a new level. True there is a learning curve but as with any new thing, practise makes the journey so rewarding because you start producing such wonderful artwork. The next best thing about Copics is the sir brush system. Who knew how many things you can apply color to with a marker and some compressed air. Love it for coordinating embellishments for my projects. I want all the colors of sketch markers that I can afford. Riht now I hae about 150, but whose counting.

Shannon Fralish said...

I love using Copic markers on all my crafting projects from scrapbooking, rubber stamping, color coordinating embellishments and just making the ordinary EXTRAordinary! The huge variety of colors is like a grown-ups big box of crayons...I'm so glad to see the new set of colors has arrived, too. I check out lots of blogs on a daily basis and the best ones always use Copics!

Jessrose21 said...

I bought my first Copic markers because I loved the vibrant colors and the fact that they blend seamlessly, without lines, and don't pill the paper, unlike water-based markers, no matter how much you color over the same spot. They also have less of a chance of getting muddy compared to watercolors. My cards look so professional when I use my Copics and the range of colors is unmatched. My artistic coloring ability has really blossomed from using my Copic markers and following the Copic designers' blogs. They are undoubtedly one of the best investments in my stamp room.

Lynne Phelps said...

I have 42 markers and I need MORE!!! Previous to using Copic markers, I was a Prismacolor pencil addict. But with Copics I can get an even smoother blend of color and the color is sheer, not semi-opaque. I also love it that I can get textural effects similar to what you can get with watercolors! I would love to win all the new pale shades! I need to fill out my color selection before I go for the airbrush!!

Unknown said...

I can't believe I used to use colored pencils to color in my stamped images. What a difference my Copic markers have made!! I love everything about them... the tips, the wide variety of color, blending, everything! Thanks for the chance to win.

Chris Simon said...

I am completely in love with my Copics. This came as a suprise to me, since I swore that I wasn't going to buy them. And now, here I sit, with probably 75% of the colors, and more on the way! I love the way that the colors blend, and the fact that such a wide range of colors are available.

Pamm said...

Copics have completely changed the way I "color"! I am severely addicted and can spend many hours trying different color combinations and different methods of shading and emphasizing my main image. I have learned so much from the various blogs that feature these wonderful additions to my stampin' arsenal! Thanks for sharing girls!

LindaC said...

I love Copic markers because they allow me to revisit my childhood. As I child I loved to color; however, coloring took a backseat while I was busy going to college, raising our son, and participating in my career. Now that I am retired and have discovered Copics I spend my days coloring images for cardmaking. What a happy, colorful way to spend my retirement!

Nora said...

Marianne, what a fabulous surprise! I've been wondering when you'd be doing another instructors class. I would love to see my name up on that list one of these days!

I started collecting my Sketch markers in December 2008 & have expanded to 70 colors in less than a year. It's funny, but this last week I have probably spent half of my time online telling friends WHY I love COPIC markers so much & sending them to your blog for information and art lessons.

The one question that they all ask me is why are COPICs so expensive - my answer...they're NOT, because they're an investment. When you take into account the replaceable tips, refillable, the versatility, dual tips, and the amazing looks you get when you use them, they pay for themselves over and over again.

I will save money on some crafting products, but there are others out there that you truly get what you pay for...COPIC markers are one of those products - you pay for quality, you GET quality!

Thanks for the candy to celebrate & congrats to all the new team members!
-hugs-

I grew up loving coloring books. All you had to do was give me a coloring book and a big box of crayons and I could easily entertain myself for hours. When I started stamping, I thought I would love to color in images - but to my surprise, I didn't! In fact, I hated it! I tried nearly every coloring medium available, but I just could not get the look nor with the color range that I wanted. So, I restricted myself to buying solid imagine stamps or ones that needed very little coloring. After reading all the rave reviews about Copics, I was convinced that I needed to give them a try. A few weeks ago, I attended a short 2-hour Copic class and fell in love! Not only do I have plenty of options with 334 colors, but I am also learning to get the exact look that I want with their awesome blending abilities. I have finally found my perfect coloring medium!

I love copic sketch markers because they make it so easy for someone (like me) to show some artistic ability. They really do add pizzaz to all kinds of images and the colors choices are endless. Of course, do to budget reasons, I agonize over which few to purchase next because I want them count.

I have been building a small but nice selection of sketch markers and have been gingerly practicing with them. I kept reading about how great the Copic markers were and looked all over for them locally. I finally found a place with a small inventory and add a new one to my stash whenever I feel the need for a treat...it beats indulging in a chocolate binge...and I have something left afterward besides more inches on the hips. I love the fact that you can color without obscuring the stamp detail

Marianne, Thank you for keeping things fresh. I would definately consider Copics to be innovative. Your call to add more instructors and certification opportunities tells you how popular these tools have become and how willing you are to reach your market! I personally love the vibrant color that have been added to my images. I was becoming bored stamping solid images with ink. Copics allow me to bring life to my images. Thank you to the Copics team members for your invaluable tuitorials and tips. Your encouragement and willingness to freely demonstrate the potential of Copics have allowed me to improve my skills immensely. I love my Copics!

What a wonderful chance to add to my Copic collection. I am still a beginner and have a limited supply but absolutely love the results. Nothing else gives quite the vibrant colors that Copics do. I want to add the set of pale pastels soon though. Amazing what adding very light hues can accomplish. Currently I am using Ciao and Sketch but love them both. I think I like the feel of the Ciao better but Sketch has more colors. I usually purchase whatever is available.

Marianne! How exciting - Regional Instructors to support all the interest in coloring (by adults!)!
For me, in addition to enjoying coloring and blending and coloring with my markers, I bought the ABS1 system two weeks ago. I'm out of control with airbrushing! I've been wearing my husband out on the subject and got him to take me hunting for a air compressor. We picked one out tonight!! It may betwo days before he sees me again. :o)

Take care and STAY POSITIVE!

I love the Sketch markers. They are sooo great! The range of colours are endless and it's easy to make all of your embellishments match, no matter what the original colours are. I love how you can layer colours so that you get perfect shading and blending. They make all your stamped items very realistic. The ink in the markers also seem to last forever! The markers make even a mediocre colourer like myself, produce works of art!

I follow many blogs. And I have noticed that the card(s) are done with Copics. They are all beautiful and I hope that I will be one of the lucky recipients to finally own Copics. My family and ESA sisters would get all handmade cards this year for Christmas done with Copics, of course! Thank you for the opportunity to win.

Oh My Gosh, I am addicted to Copics! I first saw Copic coloring on Kelly Lunceford's blog (Flutter by Atomic Butterfly) and then quickly found Michelle Wooderson's blog (Mish Mash) and was totally intrigued. I couldn't find Copics near where I live, so bought another brand, which didn't have much variety in the way of color. Finally, I found some Copics in the next city over from me, and bought about a dozen. Oh, was I hooked! I'm primarily a cardmaker/scrapbooker and am now on two design teams, and I just can't put my Copics away! So far my marker of choice is the Sketch. What I'm salivating over is an airbrush system, but I'm not sure where to start. Boy, would I love to win one... thanks for the chance! And a special welcome to Regional Instructor Colleen... I'm in North Carolina and we need more classes, LOL! Hoping to see you in the Raleigh area soon :)

I love my 20 or so copic markers, and have been slowly building my collection over the past few months. They are perfect for coloring in my stamped images as the colors go on the paper so smoothly and blend perfectly! I honestly don't know how I've survived this long without them!!

I have about 40 Sketch markers and a couple of Spica glitter pens and I just love them! I love the brush tip on the Sketch markers, how the shape feels in my hand and the fact that they don't roll off the table! Then there's the fact that they color beautifully! Thanks for the chance to win.

I absolutely love my Copics! The love affair began after I started to really notice how much I loved the imagages on the cards from my favorite designers. I started to see a pattern that every inspirational piece that I liked had been colored using Copics! I soon realized I had to have these too! I have never regretted purchasing these markers because they are worth every penny because they bring my images to life!

I have recently starting using copics and love them because they make colouring so easy! Having not studied art at school and being only new to stamping I can use all the help I can get and copics are very user friendly. The fantastic colour range ensures you are always able to find the right colour for your project!

Copics are crayolas for big girls! I love being able to colour and shade just like I did as a kid - except, this time, they don't break nor need sharpening! The best thing ever is introducing my god-daughters to the world of Copic with Ciaos. They draw cute manga chibis and then have the best time colouring. I prefer Copic classic (square heads) but love the subtlety of the triple & quad 0's of Sketch.

I have to share a story about the recent CK Convention. I was taking a stamping class and someone asked about COPIC markers. My immediate thought was that she was going to regret asking that question because once you try COPICs, there is no going back and she will become addicted. And to my surprise, when the instructor asked if anyone used COPICs, I was the only who raised my hand. So many gals missing out on the fabulousness.

I discovered Copics nearly 3 years ago and while I nearly fainted away at the cost, I soon discovered you get what you pay for!! Having stamped for over 15 years, I've been through a lot of markers, Marvy, Tombow, CTMH, back to Tombows and then, THEN I discovered Copics and haven't looked back. While stamps, inks and cardstock are the main elements in my craft, my Copics are ALWAYS within reach. I am now investing in the Various Inks Refills. After a steep initial investment, with good care and attention, my Copics will last me absolute YEARS. Their superior quality can't be compared - the best investment I've made in my stamping "hobby"!!

Let's see, I have some of the original and sketch and 1 Ciao. First, thanks so much for the chance to win. That is exciting! I guess the reason why I love using the Copic Markers is how they make my cards look, which in turn how it makes me feel. I have never been an artist. My kids laugh at how I draw stick people. When I use the Copic Markers I amazed at how much my art "ability" has changed. It's like putting on your favorite outfit, you can feel like a sweats girl, but the right outfit can make you feel like a million bucks. Same with the Copic Markers. When I add the markers to my cards and projects, I feel like I suddenly have some art ability. I might not be painting the Mona Lisa, but you gotta start somewhere. Thanks again for the chance to win and congratulations to the design team.

It took me awhile before I would try a copics marker. I was always unhappy with my work. I did not like my coloring, it seem to smear and never turned out right for me. I was watching other blogs and noticed that they all used copics. One day I broke down and bought 6 copic markers. Since then I refuse to use anything but a copics! I love the way the marker blends and there is not one streak in my work. I put time into my handmade items, which is mostly cards but I love the way they now look professional. I would love to take that course. I wonder how happy I would be if if I did take the course? I can't imagine being any happier than I am now with my copic markers. I will be looking for a course, I will not wait as long as I did to try the copics!

I've been a COPIC lurker for a couple years. I didn't even take the plunge myself. My husband held my hand and gave me some for a gift just a month ago. I've been surfing online for all the ways to use them and get better at using them... probably spending WAY more time surfing then I should on practice coloring with them. (I didn't know there are Colorists. I want to be a Colorist! How cool does that sound!?! Nevermind that I have no color theory that could save me!) :) I learned the markers can also be used to color embellishments and so when I was making a mask for my Halloween costume, I thought, "Hey, I could use my new COPICs!" (I also tried to use a Sharpie, but it's NOT the same!). Well, I guess I didn't wait long enough for it to dry because my husband asked what all the black stuff was on my face... after I had taken the mask off. Well, I'm still surfing on how to use these things, but I also have actually started practicing. Fun times!! "Kids, want to color? Mommy wants to color."

Seriously, what is not to love about Copics?!?! I'll be honest, I resisted the pull at first. So many people were raving about these markers but I was skeptical. Until I tried them that is! Once you try them you can't help but fall in love with them. What makes them great? For me, I love that you don't have to be an artisit to use them. I most certainly am lacking in the artistic department but these markers are pretty easy....just colour and go....a smooth streak-free picture every time. Even me (who has no artistic talent) has learned to colour and blend and shade with the best of them! It's all about the Copics I say! Well I didn't make my comment different for each blog as it is the truth on how I felt plus I didn't know what else to say! lol So here it goes (again)

In all honesty, I didn't think I needed Copics. My husband had a set of Prismacolor Markers from his college days that worked just fine. So why spend my money on Copics? I had markers that worked just as well, right? I had tried Copics at a stamping retreat, saw Debbie Olsen demo them at summer CHA '08 but hey, I had Prismacolor markers so I was good, right? Then one day a friend sent me some copics to play with. I still didn't want to get caught up in the Copic "craze" but hey, free is free and if someone wants to send them to me, I wouldn't say no. So I get the Copics and gingerly try my hand at them expecting the worse. Wait! Is that really my card? Wow, who colored it? Wait... it was me! With Copics! Wow! Look at the difference from the Copics to the Prismas I was using. I am in love with Copics now. My Prismas are gathering dust now as I head right to the small selection of Copics that I own. I would love to own some more but with the times being what they are, I can't afford to buy them all. So for now the 12 little Copics that I have are earning their keep and would love some friends to keep them company.

I have to agree with a previous commenter: The results you achieve with Copics outweighs the cost. Sure, they are not cheap. Plain and simple, you are getting a quality marker and in the long run, they are an investment because of their versatility. Take the plunge and try them!

I use copics for coloring images for cards and craft projects.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved coloring. I even won a $50 prize as a kid for my coloring! Now that I'm an adult I love using Copics to color. Coloring my images is relaxing and a stress release for me. Copics are so easy to use and the more you learn about them the better your coloring becomes.

Life has not been the same since discovering Copics! My poor watercolour pencils sit lonely and neglected in a drawer while my Copics take centre stage - right out there on my desk - front and centre. They know they are well loved and cared for but the only problem is that they sometimes wish they had more company - yes, more copics would certainly make the party more fun!

Oh gosh, where do I start? I've got to say that I've been making cards for a number of years, mostly with paper piecing and then my Cricut. I always loved the look of some of the stamps I had seen, but never liked any of the methods I had used to attempt to color. I spent money on different markers, pencils, and finally pencils and OMS. I just gave up. I didn't like the end result with any of them. Then I started hearing about the Copic markers. I wanted to make announcements for the birth of my second Grandson, so I thought to myself "why not give it a shot". So I ordered about six or seven pastel colors. Once they arrived and I popped off the cap, and made that first swipe on my paper, I was hooked for life. The smooth feel of it laying down on the paper, the brilliant color, and the array of colors offered. I wsa in love. I also use them to color buttons, flowers, and ribbon to the right shade for my card. They're AWESOME!
Sorry! Didn't mean to write a book here! But as you can plainly see, I am in love with my Copic markers! Thanks so much for the chance to win some! HUGS!

Hello~
I've been an obsessed fan of copics for four years now but I finally got my first custom sketch set about a year ago, and they beat any other marker that I've tried. Along with the sketch markers, I bought a few sp multiliners and they are absolutely amazing! I find that the nib doesn't get ruined as easily as other fine point pens and the fact that if a point did dull i can just buy a replacement nib!
I love coloring with copic because of the easy blending and how smooth it looks on finished pieces. I am an amateur manwha artist and copics bring such vibrancy to my work! These markers are beyond brilliant, and I hope to obtain more :) <3 Thank you~
