It's here! It finally arrived!!
I've been waiting weeks and weeks for the main shipment of my new book, Coloring Flowers with Copic Markers.
I'm so excited because this book is not just a book, it's part of a whole series of awesome information. Who is this book written for?
• If you like flowers -flowers of all kinds- and you're a paper crafter, or an artist, or an illustrator, or just someone who likes to color, then this book is for you!
• If you're a beginner, this book is for you!
• If you're skilled and looking for tips to make your work look more professional, with depth and interesting coloration, then this book is for you!
• Hablamos Español? ¡Esta libro es para tí! Es todos en Español y English.
(and that right there is the extent of the Spanish I remember from High School, luckily I'm not the one who translated the books!)
For only $9.95, you can order a copy of the book by clicking here. Or, for $2 more, you can order an autographed copy.
Coloring Foundations Series
What's even better is that if you are a beginner and you ONLY care about flowers, then you don't need any other books. That's the great part of this new series. Each of these new books stands alone. So, the next book in the series that is going through final proofing now is Coloring Faces and Hair with Copic Markers. And after that, I'm finishing writing the Intro to Coloring with Copic Markers book, which is more generic. This week I'm also coloring the artwork for the 4th book, Coloring Cats and Dogs with Copic Markers, and next I'm drawing pictures for...
Do you get the picture? This series is going to be a lot of books that are all about exactly what YOU want to learn how to color! All in easy to follow along tutorials, with multiple color variations for each image.
Blank Art is in the back
In each book, there are blank outlines for each tutorial that you can photocopy to color along with the beautiful step-by-step photographs.
People ask me all the time what is my favorite paper to color on. I actually use our Copic Sketchbook paper, a super-smooth, medium weight paper that is very crisp and great for drawing illustrations. But, pulling a page out of your sketchbook isn't feasible. So, we are now selling the sketchbook paper as our new Art Pack- Paper for Markers. These packs of letter-sized paper are meant to run through a photocopier. In fact, this is the paper I use for just about any workshop I teach. All those blank images in the back of the book will look great on this paper, because this is the paper I colored all the original artwork on for the books!
Note: If you are outside the US and Canada and are interested in purchasing the book or paper, please email us- orders@copicmarker.com Wholesale inquiries are also welcome.
Download even more art
Now, you've bought the book, you got the special paper that I use, and you've colored some of the tutorials. You're pumped, you're excited, you are now an amazing Flower-coloring-machine!
But what else can you color? I've got you covered there as well.
Brand new to the Copic website, we are selling 8.5" x 11" downloadable line art to match the new books. For only $0.99 a download! And, the flowers incorporated in the illustrations are the same kinds of flowers taught in the book. I drew those pictures just for you, so you can have even more great things to color.
Right now there really aren't many images uploaded...yet.
Every couple weeks we will be uploading new artwork, and not just flowers. See the cool green bug on the paper pack? I posted a tutorial last Fall about that bug. Well, now you can download the outline and color in that exact bug! Maybe you really like that butterfly I colored earlier here on my blog, well that is uploaded to the website as well. Isn't that cool!?!? I am so happy I can finally share my favorite blog illustrations so you can also color along! And, anyone around the world can download these images, no problem.
Win a Free Autographed Book and Paper pack
Whew! That's a lot of information in one post, but I am so excited! In fact, I'm so excited, I want to give away some of these books and share the awesomeness with you.
• If you want to win your own, autographed version of the Flowers book and a pack of paper, please leave a comment on this blog post. Include your email so we can get in touch with you. Tell me what topics you would love to see written into future books or made into downloadable line art (besides Flowers, Faces & Hair, Cats & Dogs, since I'm already working on those).
Next Friday, when I am back in town, I will choose 3 lucky winners.
Easy as that. Good luck, and thanks in advance for letting me know what you want to see a book about!

ok, number 1 is generally not lucky but heck yes I would love to win this book! I use Copics all the time and 90% of the time I am coloring flowers. I make cards for my church so flowers are always appropriate. Thanks so much for the chance to win and color better!
I'm so excited for you! This is amazing!! :)
I'd love to see a book of fantasy creatures: dragons, a phoenix or two or ten (I'm a little obsessed with the bird, if you couldn't tell), etc..
Lots of love and congratulations;

These books sound amazing. I've been trying to join in a Copic marker class for a very long time but my life always seems to take a turn when a workshop comes close to home. So these books would be fabulous. I'd also like to see clothing discussed and more nature items like trees and hills. Fabulous idea! Have a wonderful weekend!
Flowers, awesome! I'm also looking forward to the hair and faces! I'm sure you have it in the works, but I also struggle with clothing and body parts (feet, arms). Thank you for the opportunity to win! *crossing fingers and toes*
Wow, awesome new items! I do flowers more than any other, besides cats (I do cards for a cat shelter). If you are looking for new ideas for downloadable art, how about: tiny houses, farm animals, landscapes (or trees, ferns, etc). Whatever you add will be great--I sure enjoyed coloring your Halloween witch!
Hi Marianne
It would be awesome to win a copy of this book. Flowers have many dimensions to them. I have your other books and they are great.
Wow I have all of your Copic books and would love to win this one. Keep'um coming.
This is exciting! I have only used these markers once and loved them. Great job. I think anything you make would be fun. It would be fun to see all sorts of animals, my children are lovers of all kinds of animals. Thanks for this fun giveaway.

Congratulations Marianne!! I would like to see tutorials on coloring faces - different ethnic/skin shades. email: tlynn@wideopenwest.com
Take care and STAY POSITIVE!
I too would like to see fantasy-type creatures, as well as how to approach coloring entire scenes with nature elements (landscapes and possibly animals) - I have the nature book, which is very helpful, but it offers advice on individual elements (as an example, your Redwood tutorial, which talked about coloring the background trees gray to indicate distance).
I'd love to win this new book, but I'm a little confused - I'm gathering it doesn't have a CD, like Book 2, but rather images to photocopy?
I can't wait to see your technique books, especially the one for cats and dogs. I just can't get their fur right. Once I get the technique down, I would love to see wildlife images available. Thank you for sharing.
Wahoo!!! I love your books and am SO excited you have more coming out. I already have the Copic Coloring Guides 1-4 and Shadows and Shading and would absolutely adore having an autographed copy of your new book!
As for your question, I would totally love to see how you would color mice (like House Mouse) or other small creatures where space is limited but still get blending and shadowing.
Thanks so much for this chance to win! YOU ROCK!!
Hugs,
Snoopy :D

Your talent is amazing.
Thanks again for the chance.
I follow your blog all the time and just love your illustrations. I would love to win this book so my granddaughter and I can learn more. I gave her a set of copics for her birthday and she is doing a fantastic job with them, would love to show her more inspiration. She's 15 so fantasy-type characters she would love. For me its flowers and faces.
I am so excited about the new flower book since I color flowers all the time. One thing I would like to see in the future that I have trouble with is landscapes, especially mountains and skies. That would make a great book.

Beautiful! I love that you're doing "themed" books! I would like to see birds or buildings/walls/structures with different surfaces (wood, brick, stone, shiny metal, dull metal, etc.) Thanks so much!
I'm so happy that there is a book to help me in coloring flowers. I have never won anything online and it would be so exciting to win this book. Thank you so much for a chance to win.
Ohmigawd I'm excited to see this new series in its entirety! Would love to win the first book and autographed is even better. I'd like to see a series on colouring glass/water (clear objects). Congratulations on this new undertaking!
I love all of your coloring and have all of the books-so this is on my list!!! I would say you have quite alot already covered! But maybe landscape-or streetscape- those would be really cool!
Thanks for the chance to win!!!

I'd like to see books on coloring metal objects and rendering fabric accurately. Both can be pretty tricky. Fur and animal skin might be a good topic too. A no line coloring guide is something else I struggle with. Colouring in the lines is fine but I prefer the look of no lines more like fine art.
Nice books. I would love to have one of toe in my possession. Thank you for the op.
Wow.. Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity, Marianne. I love your books, and I'm so glad they finally made loose paper. Flowers are one of my favorite things to color, they're just so beautiful, and can have so many different colors and combinations of colors. What a wonderful idea.
Would love to win an autographed copy of this book - I have your others and flowers would be a wonderful addition. I would like to see beachy-water-lighthouse-fish type of a book :)
Thanks for chance to win (and to color flowers better).

I would love to see backgrounds and various texturing techniques (like rock/gravel, fabric, fur, water, smoke, etc.) I would love the cats and dogs book, personally.
Congratulations Marianne on your new book. I have your other ones, so excited to see this one. I guess the next topic of interest that I need help on is the cats and dogs, and other critters!! I'd like to say all, but if I admit my weakness, it's the fur!!
Thank you for the give away, and continued success to you, you're amazing!!!
Marianne, congratulations on the new series. what a nice treat for some lucky people! I'd really like some ideas on expressions and changing ages via facial changes - from children to senior adults. I hope your new face and hair book covers that, but if not, there's a challenge.
Congratulations on your newest adventure. I do a lot of coloring but never feel like it's quite right and your book on flowers will help me achieve the 'just right' look. Thank you.
Judy
Hi Marianne, I love this idea of separate books for specific subjects. I have the four previous Copic books. Down the track, I would like a book on landscapes, especially water.

I have your other books and I can't wait to get this one. I'd love to see a book on landscapes.
Congratulations, Marianne!! I'm in WA state, but unfortunately I can't make the trip to OR to meet you and congratulate you in person. It would be amazing to meet such a talented artist. I'm so happy to see this book! Many of the cards that I make include flower images. I can definitely use some help in coloring flowers. Thank you for publishing another book. Can't wait to add this to my collection. I would love to see future books for coloring dogs, cats, butterflies, backgrounds and scenes, buildings and structures, clothing and food (vegetables, fruit, etc). Thank you for the chance at winning an autographed copy!! Hope you have a great time on your trip.
Yay! I would love to win this book, I am really getting into coloring digital images and will probably give drawing my own images a shot. I would like to see a book of techniques for backgrounds.

Thanks for the chance!
I have some Copics, but I haven't learned to properly use them. I could learn from this book! Thank you for the chance to win. pinkbear59@gmail.com
Love EVERYTHING you do and can't wait to get my copy of this book. If I win another, it would be a perfect gift for my friend. Tutorials on coloring flowers is a must-have; also on my wish list would be books on coloring birds and animals.

What a lovely book! Flowers are one of my favorite genres--I'm a fan of all things botanical. Being an Oregon native, I enjoy a Pacific NW slant on flora and fauna. Insects would be a nice collection.
Flowers are my favorite and I am so glad you came out with this book...would love to win it!
Will your new book be offered anywhere else for sale? I'm particularly interested in Canadian suppliers as I can't really justify spending $30 to ship a $10 book :(
I love using my Copics and can always use more help! I'd love to win your book and some great paper for my artwork. I will look forward to your instructions/guidance on coloring cats - my favorite pets as they are so independent and so different one from another.
Marianne, just received the book and it is awesome! Thank you
I have always thought that shading was something I couldn't do. Recently I went to a card class and the card we made had flowers that were shaded. The teacher showed us your new book and how user-friendly it is to use. She helped me learn a couple of steps and I am so excited because your book can teach me how to do it.
Thank you for writing this book and am looking forward to future books as soon as they come out. It's a must have for every crafter!!!
Hey!! I'm new to acholol markers...loving them so far!! I would love to win the book and paper!! Mostly I've colored butterflies but I'm interested in coloring anything! Copic markers are my favorite by far. Art was my favorite class in school.
